SFC GK hopes to create opportunities for
members of Singles for Christ to become active advocates and
servants of Gawad Kalinga.
With the general direction of SFC to create a generation of leaders
and martyrs, SFC GK aims to do exactly the same by stressing the 6
point agenda to our members.
1. EVANGELIZATION
Bring
the love of Christ to our single brethren in the Gawad Kalinga
Sites. We also hope to develop a program that will focus not only on
the spirituality but also on the productivity of the individual.
For this year, we plan to conduct at least two or three SFC
Christian Life Program in all established GK sites around the
country.
2. SHELTER
Together with the vision of building 700,000 homes in 7,000
comminities in 7 years, SFC takes part in rebuilding this nation by
building 1,000 homes in one year!
SFC 1,000 is an
SFC initiated effort that hopes to raise funds and volunteers to
build houses in the different GK sites all over the Philippines.
This effort is done both by local and international SFC units.
SFC is not only limited to building homes but
is also actively taking part in landscaping and beautification of
the sites. This includes proper waste management and backyard
farming.
3. PARTNER MANAGEMENT GROUP (PMG)
The PMG hopes to bring the good news of Gawad Kalinga to our
partners and potential partners in Nation Building.
SFCs serving in the PMG takes care of informing and supplying
important details and developments of the GK sites to the partners.
They take care of partners during site visits and activities in our
GK areas.
4. NEWS BUREAU/GKOM
Provide documentation (news, inspirational articles and photos) in
the different GK sites and beneficiaries. The News Bureau also
assists PMG in gathering relevant information & photos and videos
for GK.
5. EDUCATION
In the line of education, SFC plays an important role in various
GK programs such as volunteer SIBOL teachers and assistants, SAGIP
Program managers and facilitators, SIGA facilitators and volunteers
in health and many others.
Amongst all the different involvements of SFC, the ministry takes
particular interest in the SAGIP program of GK which focuses on
children from 7-13 years of age.
6. GK BAYANIHAN BRIGADE (GK BB)
This is SFC’s effort to bring and involve non-SFC friends of SFC
members in the work of nation-building through GK. Our goal for this
year is to form at least one (1) Bayanihan Brigade composed of 5-7
members each brigade. The groups are to be taken cared of and
assisted by the sectors.
The International counterpart of the GK BB is the GK Heroes Brigade
which also aims to bring in single, non-SFC individuals outside the
Philippines to help out in our work in Gawad Kalinga. They may
become directly involved in the programs, advocates or resource
generators for GK.
The GK Bayanihan Brigade and Heroes Brigade are our efforts to bring
in more people and more partners in our work of nation building
through Gawad Kalinga.
